Chapter 31: The Philippines G12 Conference

Hi Friends,

More and more, we are seeing His Kingdom invading Earth- in our personal lives, in the churches, in our communities, and in our nation. This November was filled with more encounters of the Goodness of God, breakthroughs and open doors.

‘JESUS RULES IN LOS BANOS’: THE LB ARRM WEEK

Jesus reigns in Los Baños!-this was theme in the recent LB ARRM Week. Last November 5-11, 2007, the Body of Christ in Los Baños celebrated the LB-ARRM (Los Baños Alliance for Revival, Reformation and Missions) week with activities to bless the whole community. The leaders of the churches organized daily activities such as evangelism, visiting hospitals and prison cells and cleaning the streets. Everyone united for one purpose- and that is to show the love of Christ to the community and different sectors of the society through the united efforts of different Christian churches in Los Baños. Truly, it was an awesome time.

The week started with the Prison Ministry. Representatives from different churches went to the municipality jail and blessed the prisoners, not only with gifts (food, canned goods and toiletries), but also the message of the Kingdom of God. They shared the goodness of the Lord through messages of God’s love, hope in God, God’s promise of forgiveness, and salvation. They visited the inmates daily for the whole week. Because of this, one church that had been praying to start a prison ministry committed to continue to minister to them.

Another activity geared to bless the community was the Hospital Visitation. One pastor applied for a position as a Chaplain in one hospital and with that, all the LB-ARRM representatives could go in to hospitals and ministered to patients in every room. They prayed for healing and shared the love of God especially to the families of the patients. Many people were in tears during prayers and they said that they have never felt such love from other people.

Last November 10, the Christians did a Clean-up Drive along the Los Baños National highway. They cleaned the drainages and open canals of rubbish. Posters and banners from the previously held elections were removed. Volunteers also had information drive on segregation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable trash, and this reinforced Mayor Perez’s efforts for waste management. The whole community was truly blessed by the generosity of service shown to them by the Christians.

One of the most important events of LB-ARRM week that fostered unity among the pastors and churches was the ‘Exchange Pulpit’. All pastors shared on one topic about the manifestation of the Kingdom of God on Earth. The Destiny family was blessed with our guest speaker, Pastor Jojo Lapitan from Hasik Bagong Buhay church. Pastor Paul preached at the Church among the Palms. Ten pastors exchanged pulpit that day.

Prayer Caravan

It was a sunny afternoon, despite a heavy rain at noontime.  The weather cooperated with what was going to happen that day. Every participating church saturated Los Baños with prayers starting from strategic entry points of Los Baños and converged at the municipal hall’s covered court. A group of churches started from the boundary of Calamba. Others went to Bay and University Gate boundaries.

Pastor Paul, the current chairperson of LBARRM, with other senior pastors from different churches anointed with oil the entrance to Los Baños via the National Road. They declared open heavens and manifestations of Kingdom realities that would transform the city. They declared breakthroughs in miracles and signs and wonders for every church in Los Baños, releasing prophetic words of transformation in all aspects of our society. They declared Jesus rules in Los Baños and released blessings of favor, abundance, prosperity, and call forth the destiny of Los Baños in God’s Kingdom agenda.

After the prayer caravan, everyone celebrated the successful LBARRM week. People filled the covered court, glorified and shouted their praises to God as they faced Laguna de Bay. Even the creation witnessed our devotion and worship to God. People around watched and wondered as all were dancing and praising God who has already won the victory for us. It was an amazing and wonderful thing to see different churches gathered together in unity. The Presence of God was there!

The culminating event was the prayer for the seven mountains of influence in the society. Pastors and leaders prayed for the representatives from the Family, the Church, Business, Politics, Arts and Media, Science and Medicine, and Education. They declared prophetic words for each mountain of influence and prayed that Christians would rise up on these mountains and serve the Lord. In unity, we all believe that the Kingdom of God is invading these areas of influence and transformation of the society will occur.

At the end of the activity, everyone felt so much joy and expectancy because of the unity of the Body of Christ in Los Baños. Surely, Los Baños will be praised among the nations and people will be blessed when they see the hand of God in this land. As we open up Los Baños for the move of God, He will surely come and inhabit His people!

DESTINY CHURCHES

November 18 was the first year celebration of Destiny San Pablo. Praise God! We rejoice with Pastors Jimmy and Susan, the spiritual fathers of this church, seeing God’s goodness and faithfulness. We have seen how the church grew in spiritual maturity and in number in one year.  During the celebration, the people rejoiced with extravagant worship and we sensed the awesome presence of God. God is so pleased. Pastor Paul preached and acknowledged the acceleration in growth of the family in San Pablo. After the service, everyone enjoyed a bountiful meal.

November 25 was the launching of our church, the Destiny Calapan, Mindoro. Pastors Paul, Victoria and Val went to Mindoro- an island in the southern part of Luzon. A couple of days before the trip, a super typhoon threatened to hit the very area. The forecast was that it would hit on the same day the team would be there. When the day came for our pastors to travel, the storm slowed down, stopped and then it changed direction miraculously! We believed that it was God’s hand. The whole time our pastors were in Mindoro, the weather was as sunny as if there were not any threat of storm, Praise God!

Another praise report, God has granted Destiny Mindoro with favor. The place that they have rented originally priced P40, 000 ($1000). However, when our brethren rented the place, they were just asked to pay P10, 000 ($250) for their monthly rent! Now we have a big Destiny Center in Calapan, complete with the pastors’ office, prayer room, kids’ corner, and worship hall!

More than 200 people came to the service. Indeed a time of glorious invasion and Pastor Paul shared about Abundance in the Kingdom. A woman who came to the service limping with a cane left the service walking normally and totally healed! Praise God!

G12 CONFERENCE by Patricia

The first Annual G12 National Conference entitled, “Philippines G12 Conference – A New Beginning” was held last November 28-30 at the Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay City. The main speakers were Pastor Cesar Castellanos, and Pastor Ricardo Santiago both from the International Charismatic Mission, in Bogotá, Colombia and Apostle Lawrence Khong from Faith Community Baptist Church, in Singapore. Destiny Quezon City headed by Pastors Carlo and Zha organized the conference. Over seven thousand delegates from all over the Philippines attended.

The event started in powerful worship. The first speaker was Apostle Lawrence Khong. He shared on the values of G12 namely- the Revelation of the Cross; Discipleship; Family; Fathering and Mothering; and Missions among others.

God was just pouring out His heart to His children and preparing everyone for the multitudes. The wife of Pastor Ricardo Santiago, Angelica Santiago, who pastors and serves in the government shared about the Spirit of Conquest like that of Joshua and Caleb. Then Pastor Ricardo shared about discipleship in the church. During the time of Jesus, He ministered to the multitudes but He had His own time with His disciples. Pastor Santiago challenged the people to be disciples, not just being part of the multitudes that go Sunday after Sunday but still does not have the life that Jesus has prepared for them.

The G12 father, Pastor Cesar Castellanos preached a powerful message on the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus has the power to heal us from everything and make us conquerors for His glory. The first place where Jesus shed blood was when He sweats blood, this refers to the agony and betrayal that Jesus felt and this heals us from the people who have hurt us in the past. The second was the blood that was shed because of the crown of thorns in Jesus’ head. This heals the wounds we had in our conquests. The blood from His face heals us from lost self-esteem and takes away all our failures. Next blood came out when Jesus was nailed to the Cross. This heals every self-effort. The blood that came out of His feet heals us and makes us walk in intimacy with Him. The blood that came out of His side heals us from every anguish and pain. Pastor Castellanos explained that once we use the blood of Jesus to heal us, where He shed blood, we could experience healing and renewal.

At the end of the conference, all the pastors who attended the meeting were asked to stay for a meeting with Pastor Castellanos. As always, the Destiny gang could not resist and stayed behind for the meeting. Pastor Castellanos shared his heart to establish twelve leaders who would push for the G12 vision in the Philippines. He called for a private meeting with the senior pastors of the different churches and denominations from the whole nation. At the end of their meeting, Pastor Rich Witmer announced the 12 leaders selected as national coordinators. Amazingly, Destiny Quezon City pastors, Carlo and Zhaleen Panlilio, together with our pastors, Paul and Ahl Yadao were chosen among other pastors from different churches! Truly, God is enlarging our vision and influence in this nation. All glory to God!

It is a joy to share our testimonies with you. Be blessed!
