Destiny Leaders’ Summit

By Jabe Ines

“God deals with us according to our destiny not according to who we are right now”, thus says Pastora Ahl Yadao, during the DMI Leaders’ Summit held on July 25, 2009 at the Destiny Center, Agrix Complex, Los Banos Laguna. The event was attended by more than 120 leaders from various churches of Destiny including Alabang, Binan, Calamba City, Cavite, Los Banos, Lucena City, Makati, Mindoro, and San Pablo City.

Pastora Ahl emphasized the importance of seeing the “future” us. She said that God Himself sees us according to our future. “As Christians, we should not be trapped in the past and the present, but look forward to our destiny”, she said. During her session, Pastora Ahl also shared many stories from the African Call held in Tanzania.

In the afternoon session, Pastor Paul Yadao talked about “Creating the Culture of Heaven on Earth: The Five-fold Ministry Model”. The message focused on aligning oneself according to the five-fold ministry to bring down the culture of heaven here on earth. Pastor Paul encouraged each one to know his/her assignment in the kingdom of God. During his session, he also took the time to acknowledge and honor the pastors of the different local and house churches of Destiny.

Pastor Paul also mentioned a booklet that Jack Taylor let him read while in Tanzania. Entitled The Greatest Thing in this World, the booklet was written by Henry Drummond, the personal assistant of D.L. Moody. “To me, reading it is like going through a surgery, a spiritual operation. Going through the pages of the booklet compelled me to weigh things – my words, actions, desires and intentions, in view of what is of eternal importance in the eyes of God, which is Love.” Pastor Paul declared that “love indeed is the greatest thing in this world and it never fails, that is, the agape love of God.” “It is impossible to minister without the love of the Father and the power of the Holy Spirit upon us,” he added.

Participants in Los Banos were joined by members of international house churches from Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, and Cambodia through videostreaming. Other participants were from Japan, Korea and Thailand.

The summit ended with an impartation led by Pastors Paul and Ahl Yadao.

It was a powerful Leaders Summit indeed!

I’m amazed by the beauty of the family structure. I know I can’t do it all alone. It’s in the uniqueness of each one of us that we can work together, perfectly fitting to form a beautiful tapestry of God’s wonderful family. I love the family of God!
