Destiny House of Prayer
By Val CelesteIt was December 2008 when Daddy Leif prophesied that we are a people having the Moravian spirit, that we are a Moravian movement. The Moravians are a community of believers with a huge heart for the nations. They were able to send hundreds of missionaries in 25 years. Their model is house church, and they transformed communities through their 24/7 prayer meetings. Many testified (one of them is John Wesley), that the very community where the Moravians lived is so soaked with the tangible presence of God that anyone who would enter into their communities will not leave un-transformed. Since then, it is our prayer and passion to have and finally launch our very own Destiny House of Prayer.
When we talk about His house, we know it has a very special spot in heart of our Triune God. He is so captured with it and is zealous about it. When Jesus entered Jerusalem and found the temple of God being used as a market place, He was furious. Mark 11:15-17 shows how much the house of God consumes Jesus heart. In Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. He said, “Is it not written: ” ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers.”
Why is God so passionate about His house? In Micah 4:1-4 and Acts 15:16-17. The heart of the Lord beats for the nations. The nations have long been bound in darkness. They have been in travail that they be brought to freedom. Romans 8:19-21 clearly describes the suffering of the whole creation until the glory of God is brought to them by the children of God.
Micah 4:1-4 and Acts 15:16-17 also reveals the very heart of the Father for this season. He is longing and desiring for a house, a habitation, a dwelling place; more than just a prayer room or soaking room. He desires for the tent of David, the heart of David to be rebuilt. 1 Corinthians 6:19 says that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. More than just the physical temple, the Lord wants to establish His people to be His dwelling. And the Lord doesn’t desire for only one David to rise up but for a community of Davids in this generation, established not just as tents but cities of habitation of the glory of God.
Indeed now is the time to live and manifest the prophetic words released over us. As sons favored and loved by our Heavenly Father and blessed by our spiritual fathers, we will declare the words of Jesus in Luke 4:21 “…Today, this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” If people talk about it and prophesied about it, “Lord, enable us to live it out”. Amen.
