Another Awesome Encounter
By Jabe InesThe DMI-wide Encounter God Retreat was indeed glorious! It was a two-day camp held at Cliffside Retreat House in Tagaytay City last October 17-18, 2009. House churches from Lucena, Los Banos, Makati, Cabuyao and Calamba were among those who participated in the said event.
29 participants composed of couples and young professionals were able to experience the love of God as Pastor Ariel Tenorio shared the message about the Father Heart of God. The participants also had an opportunity to expose in the light their hidden struggles and other dark areas in their lives in a divided session with respective counselors. They were also set free from bondages and generational curses as Pastor Grace Barroga delivered the powerful message on Strongholds and Deliverance.
Pastor Nick Sosmeña shared about The Cross. The love of God overshadowed the place. Some knelt down as a sign of surrender to the one true God—Jesus. The Holy Spirit displayed His awesome presence and moved powerfully in each one. To end the day, a camper from Lucena testified as how God moved in his life. This man owns a number of pharmacies in his town. He is planning to add another one this year. After he testified about the goodness of God in his life, prophesies were released to him. Now, he is geared to fulfil God’s destiny for him– to be a minister of healing thru the medicines he is distributing. This is another awesome move of God. Indeed it was a powerful encounter. Glory to Him!
